Make a Difference in the Lives of Primates!
At Swing Along Monkey Rescue, our dedicated volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission. Whether you’re passionate about animals, conservation, or just want to give back, our volunteer program offers a unique opportunity to work closely with rescued primates and contribute to their lifelong care and rehabilitation.
What Volunteers Do:
Daily Care Support – Assist with preparing food, cleaning habitats, and observing behavior.
Enrichment Activities – Help design and deliver enrichment to stimulate natural behaviors.
Sanctuary Maintenance – Keep the grounds and enclosures clean, safe, and beautiful.
Education & Outreach – Participate in tours, events, and social media efforts (optional).
Special Projects – Assist with building projects, gardening, or fundraising efforts.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Short-Term: One-day or weekend opportunities for individuals or groups.
Long-Term: Weekly or monthly commitments for deeper involvement.
Internships: For students or professionals seeking hands-on experience.
Requirements:
- Must be 18+ (or accompanied by an adult if under 18)
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to follow safety protocols and respect animal boundaries
Passionate about animal welfare and sanctuary values
- Consent to a back ground check
- Provide three personal references
- Must be able to commit to 16 hours a month
