Rehome your Primate

Primate Surrender Program

A Safe Haven for Your Primate at Swing A Long Monkey Rescue

At Swing A Long Monkey Rescue, we understand how difficult the decision to surrender a beloved primate can be. Whether due to changes in personal circumstances, behavioral challenges, or health issues, our sanctuary offers a compassionate, permanent home for primates in need.

Why Surrender to Us?

  • Lifetime Sanctuary Care: Your primate will live in a loving, enriched environment designed to meet their physical and emotional needs.

  • Experienced Caregivers: With over 30 years of experience, our team specializes in individualized care and rehabilitation.

  • Non-Judgmental Support: We know life changes. Our mission is to help both primates and people, without judgment.

  • No Breeding or Rehoming: Primates surrendered here are never used for breeding, sold, or rehomed.

Surrender Program Process

  1. Initial Inquiry
Submit our Surrender Inquiry Form (link to your form). We’ll review your situation and the primate’s history.

  2. Follow-Up & Interview
A staff member will contact you to discuss your primate’s health, behavior, diet, and social habits.

  3. Health & Behavior Review
We require basic health records, vet history, and photos/videos to ensure we can meet your primate’s needs.

  4. Transport Coordination
We can help coordinate safe and humane transportation to the sanctuary.

  5. Final Surrender Agreement
You will be asked to sign a legal Surrender of Ownership Agreement relinquishing all rights and responsibilities.
